The tornado caused widespread damage across the entire campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.\u00a0The tornado was a direct hit through the quad, library, and almost all major buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/rsc.ua.edu\">Remote Sensing Center<\/a> was asked to provide post tornado damage assessment of the campus buildings. We (Tim Leopard, <a href=\"https:\/\/simpsonaerospace.wordpress.com\/\">Chris R. Simpson<\/a>, and I) flew a series of flights over the campus.
