A recent Windows 7 update broke CATIA. Here&#8217;s how I fixed it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open regedit<\/li>\n<li>Create &#8220;HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\SecurityProviders\\SCHANNEL\\KeyExchangeAlgorithms\\Diffie-Hellman&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>New DWORD Value.<\/li>\n<li>DWORD &#8220;ClientMinKeyBitLength&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Right-click Modify ClientMinKeyBitLength<\/li>\n<li>Value &#8220;00000200&#8221; (Hex value)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[Update Feb 2019]<\/p>\n<p>On Windows 10 machines, the default TLS\/Schannel cipher is not enabled. When running &#8220;DSCheckLS.exe&#8221; the license server status will be &#8220;NOT RUNNING&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>To fix this, you will need to enable a specific cipher. In an administrator&#8217;s powershell, type: Enable-TlsCipherSuite -Name &#8220;TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is not at all obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>[Personal Setup]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Add C:\\ProgramData\\DassaultSystemes\\Licenses\\DSLicSrv.txt <\/li><li>Occlusion culling<\/li><li>Turn off Tablet support: Transformation Pad &amp; Gesture Pad<\/li><li>Assembly Design Update Automatic<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I own a personal license of CATIA v5.
